For the 10th straight year, the Battle

Creek Shuffleboard Club will host the

Michigan Shuffleboard Association

State Tournament – which this year

starts next Monday (July 29) and runs

through Friday, Aug. 2 on the courts

located near the front entrance to

Battle Creek’s Bailey Park.

All interested players are welcome

to compete in the state tourney, no

matter one’s skill level. And signups

are still taking place now, as well as

on event days.

This year’s schedule of events (with

a $10 fee attached for each event, and

with the second date of each below

listing being for if-necessary rain date

purposes):

• July 29-30: MSA State

Tournament, Amateur M/L Singles,

8 a.m.

• July 30-31: MSA State

Tournament, Amateur M/L Doubles,

8 a.m.

• July 31-Aug. 1: MSA State

Tournament, State Unrestricted

(amateur and/or professional) M/L

Singles, 8 a.m.

• July 31: Annual MSA state meet-
  ing, 9 a.m.


• Aug. 1-2: MSA State Tournament,
  Unrestricted (amateur and/or pro)
  M/L Doubles, 8 a.m.

  Following the state tourney, cur-
  rent and/or new members of the B.C.
  Shuffleboard Club will be involved in

  Doubles, 10 a.m.


• Aug. 15-16: Albion Draw Any
  Doubles, 8 a.m.


• Aug. 19-20: Michigan Memorial
  Draw Any Doubles, at B.C., 10 a.m.


• Aug. 26-27: Caro Bring Your
  Own Partner Doubles, 8 a.m.

the Battle Creek Shuffleboard Club for the 10th straight year next Monday

• Aug. 30: Hot Dogs and Draw Any
  Doubles, at Battle Creek, 10 a.m.
  Drop-in play also takes place at
  the Bailey Park courts most every
  Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  beginning at 10 a.m.; and drop-
  in play will also continue into
  September and October (weather per-
  mitting).

  ment that took place July 15 (noting
  that one more event, the Caro Draw
  Any Doubles tourney took place this
  past Monday prior to the start of the

state tourney next Monday):
