because you don’t want to fall into any traps, he
might be trying to set by keeping you around.
Be clear about what you’re looking for. That is the
only part you need to play. If you say to him, “I need
you to hug me more.” It doesn’t take a rocket
scientist to figure out how to hug you more. If you
say to him, “I need you to be more considerate. I
want you to think about me when you’re out and
about and check on me.” Again, it doesn’t take a
rocket scientist to figure out how to do that. He can
pick up the phone and call or text you. These are
very clear and reasonable requests. The only reason
a man won’t embrace them and show a willingness
to work on his issues is because he doesn’t love you.
Ultimately, again, his words and actions must line
up. When they don’t, there’s a problem. The
problem needs to be explored and addressed. Once
this happens, he needs to begin corrective action
immediately. If there is no action taken, don’t
continue forward with him.
