Spleen and Stomach Deficiency


Clinical Manifestations


Loose stools, sometimes like water, thin stools, sometimes with mucus, increased frequency of
bowel movement, poor appetite, slight abdominal distension, a feeling of oppression of the chest,
a sallow complexion, tiredness.


Tongue: Pale, teeth marks.


Pulse: Weak


Treatment Principle


Strengthen the Spleen and benefit the Stomach.

Ren-12 Zhongwan, BL-20 Pishu, BL-21 Weishu, ST-36 zusanli, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, Ren-6 Qihai
moxa on ginger, ST-25 Tianshu, ST-37 Shangjuxu, Du-20 Baihui; reinforcing method.


Explanation



  • Ren-12, BL-20, BL-21, ST-36 and SP-6 tonify Stomach and Spleen.

  • Ren-6 tonifies Qi. Moxa on ginger on this point is the best method for intestinal
    problems from a deficient and cold Spleen.

  • ST-25 and ST-37 stop diarrhoea.

  • BL-20 raises Spleen-Qi and helps to stop diarrhoea.
