(Golden Lock Consolidating the Essence Pill)
Explanation
This pill, already explained above, is quite neutral in character and can therefore be used for
enuresis or incontinence from an underlying deficiency of Kidney-Yin. It may be combined with
other remedies which nourish Kidney-Yin such as Liu Wei Di Huang Wan Six-Ingredient
Rehmannia Pill.

Clinical Manifestations
Nocturnal enuresis in children, grinding teeth at night, restless sleep, nightmares, waking up
crying, thirst, bitter taste, hypochondrial pain.
Tongue: Red with redder sides, yellow coating.
Pulse: Wiry and Rapid.
Enuresis in children can be classified in two broad categories: on the one hand quiet and shy
children, on the other rather hyperactive and nervous children. The pattern of Kidney deficiency
pertains to the former group, while that of Liver-Fire pertains to the latter group.
Treatment Principle
Soothe the Liver, drain Fire, calm the Mind and settle the Ethereal Soul.

LIV-2, Xingjian, HE-7 Shenmen, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, Yintang, BL-28 Pangguangshu. Reducing
method on all points except BL-28 which should be reinforced.
