Youmayfindtheword“natural”onsomefoodpackaging,thisdoesnotnecessarily
meanthatthefoodisfitforconsumption.Thesefoodsmaycontainingredientsthat
mayhavebeentakenfromnaturalsources,butwhichstillposeahealthrisk.Forex-
ample,sugarsareoftentakenfromnaturalsources,suchascorn,riceorsugarcane,
andconcentratedinfoodsintheformofcornsweetenerorricesyrup,andthen
labeledas“naturallysweetened.”Juicesareroutinely“enriched”withvitaminsand
othermaterialssuchasvitaminCandCalcium.Thismayseemtomaketheproduct
morehealthy,butinrealitythechemicalbalanceoftheoriginalproducthasbeen
disturbedandtherefore,thebodywillnotbeabletotreatthisitemasonewhich
comesdirectlyfromnature.Also,animalsarenatural,howeverwedonotwantto
consume animal productsin the diet, do we?
Generally,foodproductslabeled“Organic”willbesafetoconsume,althoughmany
organicproductsmaybeprocessedinvariousways.However,organicfoodsinany
