Probiotics
Probioticsarefriendlybacteriathatnormallylivewithinthehumangastrointestinaltractandarehelp-
fultodigestion.Theyarenon-pathogenic(notcapableofcausingdisease).Theyalsocombatun-
friendlybacteriaandfungusandthuspreventdisease.Therearehundredsofstrainsofbacteria.The
twomostcommontypesofprobioticsareBifidobacteriumandLactobacillusacidophilus.Probiotics
fulfill other important tasks like aiding in the detoxification process.
