2-Way Compact Loudspeakers are installed
within the restaurants three external zones
(Outside Pati o 1, 2 and Entrance).
Not requiring high sound levels within the
last remaining 'Inside' zone, Ted chose 4
x EAW SMS 4990 2-Way Surface Mount
Loudspeakers. The SMS4990 speakers come
with 4 x 4'' Kevlar low frequency transducers,
1 x 1.3'' high frequency dome tweeter and an
overall 90 ̊ x 90 ̊ coverage patt ern.
All audio is being driven by 2 x ASHLEY KLR
3200 Power Amplifi ers. “Essenti ally, we have
created an environment here where the
communicati on systems are compact but the
SPL is what the client wanted,” said Ted.“They didn't want a zone controller so instead,
we opted to use the iPad mixer soft ware that
communicates with the Mackie DLM 806
Mixer to control the zones. The Master fader
soft ware is able to connect to a router through
an iPhone so sound levels can be controlled
wherever you are in the restaurant.”The new face-lift was completed ahead
of schedule and ever since, Roundhouse
customers are able to enjoy the funky blues
and classic rock tunes without having to
shout over each other.“We're hoping to one day build up to a live
event venue,” announced Wayne. “We are
looking to fi ll that niche that seems to be
missing in this part of the country and we
needed our systems to help get us there. Not
only do the new speakers get the job done,
but they also help our customers who travel
in from all over the country, really experience
the food and ambience together with the
