In ancient Chinese culture,
children’s clothing and
accessories represented
hopes and blessings for
their young wearers. Co-
presented by Sun Yat Sen
Nanyang Memorial Hall
and the Memorial Museum
of Generalissimo Sun
Yat-sen’s Mansion from
Guangzhou, China, this
exhibition features close to
100 clothing and accessory
items from the late Qing
to early Republican period,
such as hats, ear muffs,
bibs and shoes, in addition
to archival images.

Autumn Festival
2017
Soak in the festive mood

12-metre-tall centrepiece
designed in collaboration
with students from Nanyang
Academy of Fine Arts.

Octoburst! 2017
Organised by The
NOISE x GIF Fest
2017
The inaugural edition of this festival, themed
‘Spellbound’, features an immersive exhibition
of over 50 original GIFs (graphic interchange
format), exploring their role as a form of digital
art, entertainment and creative communication.
Other highlights and activities include a
performance by local electronic duo .gif, a live
set featuring renowned local spoken word poet
Deborah Emmanuel, workshops and creative
dialogue sessions.
