intercepts him. Alan flees.
Ziyang protests his
innocence. Qiyuan demands
to look in his bag, and finds
the packet of dried scallops.
Chen Feng accuses Ziyang
of stealing from the factory.
Xiaoqiao steps forward and
claims it was she who gave
it to him.
Chen Feng wonders why
Xiaoqiao keeps defending
Ziyang, and concludes that
he is Xiaoqiao and Song
Jueming’s son. She and
Xiaoqiao used to be as
close as sisters, but fell out
over Jueming, each thinking
the other person was the
third party.

Qiyuan finds Yalong in the
corridor, looking for his
cactus. She tells him it
has been thrown to the
ground floor. Yalong looks to
make sure, and finds only
fragments of the broken
flower pot.
Subsequently, Yalong
and Shuqi are trapped in
the lift. Yalong suddenly
feels hungry, and Shuqi
reluctantly gives him the bun
she had bought for Xu Tao.
After he takes a bite, the
lift resumes operation, and
he gives the half-eaten bun
back to her.
Qiyuan sees Ziyang
replanting the cactus in
another flower pot. She
mocks him for trying to atone
for his wrongdoing.
Yalong is thrilled to
see the cactus. He turns
around and hugs Shuqi. Xu
Tao happens to witness the
scene, and berates Yalong
for trying to take advantage
of Shuqi.
Learning it was Ziyang
who revived the cactus,
Yalong hugs him in joy. When
Ziyang tries to push him
away, he collapses.

and Zhoumei jumps in fear.
She bumps into the pole
holding up the canopy, which
topples. The crowd scatters.
Fuzi alone shields Chairman
An from the falling structure.
Fuzi is injured, and
hospitalised. This was
exactly the outcome she
and Fengchong had wanted.
The entire drama was
orchestrated by them.
Fuzi runs back to the
An mansion to find her cat.
She is infuriated to learn
Zhoumei has thrown it away.
She goes outside to retrievethe cat, and kicks Zhoumei’s
son, An Yunkui, out into the
rain instead.
Zaixi urges her father
to let her have her share of
the An inheritance because
she is going through a
divorce. Disappointed in her,
Chairman An refuses.
Yazhen interrogates
the person in-charge of the
birthday party. The man
is certain the canopy was
tampered with, and suggests
she check the CCTV
recording.
Yazhen goes to Shengxi’s
house to give her a custom-
made dress in return for
tutoring her daughter.
She notices men’s clothing
and underwear in the
apartment.
Yazhen meets Qihao for
lunch. He tells her Fuzi was
imprisoned for 20 months
for embezzlement and fraud.
The police suspected she
had an accomplice, but she
took the fall alone. There
are no records for the years
since her release.
Shengxi shows up at
Zaishuo’s office. While they
are behaving intimately, his
employee walks in on them.
Shengxi attends a lunch
engagement with an art
gallery owner, Madam Xu.
The latter makes it clear the
only reason she is meeting
Shengxi is because of her

Shengxi wants Zaishuo to
stay the night. When he
declines, she criticises
Yazhen and he leaves in a
huff.
Chairman An announces
to his family that he is going
to marry Fuzi. Everyone
protests, but he pays them
no heed.
Yazhen pulls out a video
from her handphone to prove
the canopy collapse was no
accident. She implies Fuzi
could be responsible.
Yazhen’s helper notices
that Zaishuo’s cycling outfit
smells awful. Since this is
the first time, she deduces
that he must have just been
on his maiden ride. She
tells Yazhen, and advises
that she keep an eye on her
husband.
Shengxi shows up at
Zaishuo’s office to apologise.
At first he refuses a
reconciliation, but relents
when she tearfully confesses
her love for him.
Unexpectedly, Yazhen
turns up at Zaishuo’s office
too. His employee stalls for
time, and attempts to inform
him. Shengxi dives under his
desk.
Fengchong is caught on
CCTV, loitering outside the
gates of the An mansion.
Fuzi calls him soon after
