a blood test, as he is afraid
Ailin will discover his illness.
He runs off when she is
filling out the forms.
Heilong wants to confront
Jiang Yong.
Shuibo sees Xiaozu
talking to Heilong over the
phone and assumes Xiaozu
has been lying about his
injuries.
Minmin tells Jiang Yong
that Wan Fang Group is
in trouble because of its
financial woes. Her plan is
to buy up 10 per cent of the
new town project’s shares
from the Fangs. Jinlan
insinuates that Minmin
is trying to help Xiaozu
cheat Jiang Yong. She is
well aware Minmin had
celebrated Xiaozu’s birthday
with him and is the reason
Ailin was dumped.
Heilong and Xiaozu learn
from Minmin that Jiang Yong
is not keen on the takeover
of 10 per cent of the project.
Jiang Yong sneers at the
Fangs and asserts that he
will definitely win if there
is an open tender. Shuibo
turns up and expresses
interest in the project as
well.
Xiaozu is concerned that
Shuibo will lose money. He
tries to talk the latter out
of getting involved but to no
avail.
Jiang Yong sets
Yongzhen up for corruption
and warns that he will ruin
her career if she does not
return home with Haohao.
When he declares that
he has to protect Haohao
from Xiaocao, whom he
calls a lunatic, Yongzhen is
flabbergasted. She is sure
Letian would have approved
of her leaving the Jiang
family.
Jinlan sneers at
Yongzhen. In turn, Yongzhen
reminds Jinlan of her own
colourful past.
Jiang Yong tells Yongzhen
to leave Haohao in his care
if she intends to remarry.
Yongzhen worries that Jiang
Yong will cause her to lose
custody of Haohao.
Liyun suggests Yongzhen
run away with Tiancheng and
return only when Jiang Yong
has lost everything to Jinlan.
Tiancheng proposes to
Yongzhen and she accepts.
Xiaozu and Minmin worry
their plan will fall through
with the Lins’ interference.
Meanwhile, Minmin is well
aware Ailin is the one Xiaozu
truly loves.
Xiaozu, Minmin, Feihu
and Ailin join a lovers’
drinking contest. A fight
breaks out and Ailin is
almost injured. When Xiaozu
goes to Ailin’s rescue,
Minmin realises she is on
the losing end.
Minmin knocks Ailin out
and tells Feihu to molest
her. Doubting Minmin’s love
for him, he refuses, and
leaves in a huff, even though
Minmin threatens to break
up with him.
Xiaocao overhears their
conversation. Annoyed withMinmin for being so mean,
she pulls a prank on her
and gets her arrested on
suspicion of soliciting.
Xiaocao tries to sound
Feihu out. She points out
that if Minmin really loved
him, she would not make
use of him. He is surprised
at her maturity.
Just then, Minmin calls
from the police station and
asks Feihu to bail her out.
Despite Xiaocao’s attempts
to stop him, he runs to
Minmin’s rescue.
Ailin comes round and
sees Xiaozu. She suspects
that it was he who saved
her, but chooses to conclude
that he would not be so kind
after dumping her.
Yimei nabs a murderer
after a tip-off from the
murderer’s wife. The case
reminds her of her situation,
and she wonders what she
would do if Hongshan were
really involved in her father’s
death.
Yimei reconsiders the
photo Hongshan had tried to
burn and confirms the man
in it is, indeed, Hongshan.
Presuming he is her father’s
killer, she is devastated, and
decides to abort her child.
Qianna deliberately tells
Hongshan that Yimei saw
him burning something the
other day.SUN OCT 8
7pm Episodes 571 to 573
Hongshan is worried that
Yimei suspects him of killing
her father. He tries to call
her and learns she is at the
hospital.
Yimei insists on the
abortion, despite the
doctor’s warnings that she
may not be able to conceive
again at her age. However,
when she hears the baby’s
heartbeat, she changes her
mind.
Hongshan meets Yimei
at the hospital and takes
her back to the station. He
is guilt-stricken when she
treats him coldly.Yimei gets worked up
when Hongshan is injured
trying to protect her from an
accident.
Hansheng and Zhengnan
are anxious about Xiaocao.
The social worker tells them
that besides going from
foster home to foster home,
Xiaocao has posed few
problems.
Xiaowen tails Xiaocao,
who intentionally vomits on
her. When Jinlan appears,
Xiaowen suspects Jinlan is
in cahoots with Xiaocao to
torture her.
Hansheng gets into
a fight with Jian’an when
the latter insults Xiaocao.
Xiaozu tells Xiaowen off
for getting into trouble. He
rushes Hansheng to the
hospital.
Zhengnan berates
Xiaowen for hurting
Hansheng, even though she
keeps saying she loves him.
Xiaozu shuts Xiaowen
up and apologises to
Hansheng and Zhengnan.
He feels sorry for coming
up with the scam to make
Hansheng marry Xiaowen
years ago and hopes he and
Zhengnan will forgive him.
Hansheng accepts Xiaozu’s
apology and advises him to
take his sister in hand.
Jian’an warns Zhengnan
about Xiaocao. He has yet
to give up trying to make
Zhengnan return to him.
Xiaozu tells Xiaowen she
is embarrassing herself
in front of others. When
Wenxing tries to intervene,
Xiaozu shuts him up and
tells him to report for work
at Wan Fang right away, so
that he can make a living
and support Xiaowen and
their baby.
Xiaocao gets Qiang
to protect Yongzhen and
Tiancheng. She knows Jiang
Yong wants Wuxiong to stop
Yongzhen from marrying
Tiancheng.
Hongshuai learns
Tiancheng is getting married
